FIRST Lego League Team Resources
The FIRST Lego League program is an engaging and educational initiative designed to ignite enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among students aged 4 to 16. The program offers a progressive series of divisions that cater to various age groups, sparking interest in STEM from an early age.
Starting with FIRST LEGO League Discover (ages 4-6), young children engage in playful learning to explore basic STEM concepts through simple challenges and teamwork. Moving to FIRST LEGO League Explore (ages 6-10), children delve deeper by designing and coding basic LEGO models to solve thematic challenges, enhancing their problem-solving skills. Finally, FIRST LEGO League Challenge (ages 9-16) allows students to dive into more complex engineering tasks, designing, building, and programming robots to tackle real-world problems. Each division emphasizes hands-on learning, creativity, and collaboration, preparing students not just for future STEM careers but also for life.
